POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Manager for Chattanooga Football Club supports all employees including the business office, technical staff, men’s team, women’s team and Academy staff. The HR Manager is responsible for supporting CFC in recruiting, hiring, performance management, benefits, training, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state employment laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Manage the recruitment/hiring process, including advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, verifying employee references, coordinating and conducting interviews, preparing offer letters, and coordinating start dates.
  • Prepare and complete all new hire paperwork, employee and payroll set up and ensure a successful onboarding experience for new employees by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs that foster a positive attitude towards organizational goals.
  • Maintain structure, content, and integrity of all employee files in compliance with employee documentation and retention regulations.
  • Advise managers and employees on proper implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain HR guidelines by preparing, updating and recommending appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Oversee benefit programs, review options and participate in annual benefit selection/negotiation.
  • Conduct training for Managers, Supervisors, and all employees on various HR topics including policies, benefits, and leadership skills.
  • Assist managers in appropriate process for performance management, evaluations, and corrective action.
  • Stay abreast of current trends in Employment Law and Human Resources to stay in compliance and evaluate use of best practices.
  • Participate in planning, scheduling and coordination of employee events and activities.
  • Complete special projects and assignments as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business management, or a similar field preferred.
  • 3-5 years in a Human Resources role.
  • SHRM or other HR certification preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to create and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Must be a problem solver with the ability to analyze information and detect issues.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Willingness to be present and work at events on nights and weekends.
  • Experience with Google Suite.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
