Huntsville, Ala. (July 18, 2023) – Tonight, Huntsville City Football Club Goalkeeper Ben Martino competed in the Goalie Wars Exhibition at the 2023 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T 5G.
Martino competed against Crown Legacy’s Isaac Walker. After giving up two early goals in the 90-second round, Martino was able to get one back. Walker added another to take a 3-1 lead, but after misses by both keepers, the two then exchanged goals. After a save with just over 10 seconds left, Martino had a chance to tie the round, but his shot was saved, and Walker got the win 4-3.
Martino will return to Huntsville City FC for its match on Sunday, July 23 at Atlanta United II at 6:30 p.m. CT. The match can be seen on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app, while Huntsvillians will be able to watch the match at the official watch party at Yellowhammer Brewing.
