Huntsville City Football Club to Host New England Revolution II at the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium at 6 P.M. CT on Sunday

Huntsville, Ala. (June 30, 2023) – Huntsville City Football Club will kick off a three-game homestand when it hosts New England Revolution II on Sunday, July 2 at 6 p.m. CT at the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium. The match, the first of two between the clubs this season, will also serve as Americana Night.

Huntsville City FC will host many amenities to honor our great nation ahead of Independence Day.  Fans will be able to enjoy All-American hotdogs for just $2. There will also be a happy hour discount at the Yellowhammer Brewing Company Craft Beer Garden from 4-5 p.m. CT. Fans can buy special Americana Night merchandise available at the Huntsville City FC team store.

Additionally, HCFC will honor community members and organizations making a difference in our city at every home match. This Sunday, Section 256, a special section in the stadium dedicated to celebrating our community, will host guests from Honoring Veteran Legacies, which honors senior veterans in the community and beyond and guards and preserves their legacies for future generations. Veteran Petty Officer Third Class Reid Shito of the U.S. Coast Guard will be honored with the Landers McLarty Chevrolet Military Salute. 

Season ticket memberships for Huntsville’s inaugural season at the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium are still available at www.mlsnextpro.com/huntsvillecityfc/tickets. So far, more than 3,000 season tickets have been purchased for this season.    

Earlier today, Huntsville City FC Head Coach Jack Collison and midfielder Ollie Wright previewed the match against New England Revolution II. Coach Collison talked about how his team has trained during the heat, the challenges New England present, and how he believes the team can attack their opponents this weekend.

Wright also talked about his rehab from injury, interacting with young fans, and what the team needs to do to get off to a strong start to the second half of the season. Footage can be found here.
