Huntsville, Ala. (Nov. 13, 2023) – Huntsville City Football Club planned to host open tryouts for the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Season on Jan. 20, 2024. Participants can sign up here starting today through Jan. 15 to try out for the club.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to area winter weather and out of an abundance of caution, HCFC Open Tryouts are being rescheduled for next Saturday, January 27 beginning at 9 AM. Tryouts will be held at Merrimack Turf Fields 16, 17, and 18.
The open tryouts will give participants a chance to showcase their skills to Huntsville City FC Head Coach Jack Collison and the team’s technical staff. Two players who participated in the 2023 open tryouts made it to the initial Huntsville City FC preseason squad, with one of them playing in one of the club’s preseason matches.
For $200, participants, 18 and older, can take to the pitch at the new turf fields at John Hunt Park at 2151 Jaycee Way, Huntsville, AL 35801, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT (Registration opens at 9 a.m. CT)
