(July 13, 2025) – Huntsville City FC wrapped up a long road stretch with a hard-fought battle against FC Cincinnati 2 on Sunday evening. In their first matchup of the season, both sides remained deadlocked through a quiet first half and into the final stretch of the match.
After an uneventful opening 45 minutes, the match stayed locked at 0-0 through the 85th minute, with both defenses holding firm. However, FC Cincinnati 2 broke the stalemate in the 86th minute, finding the back of the net and ultimately securing a narrow 1-0 victory. Four minutes of stoppage time were added, but Huntsville couldn’t find the equalizer.
Huntsville City FC returns home to Wicks Family Field on Friday, July 18, for the highly anticipated Christmas in July Match against Columbus Crew 2. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
