Huntsville City Football Club Visits Philadelphia Union II at 3 P.m. CT on Sunday


Huntsville, Ala. (Sept. 15, 2023)– Huntsville City Football Club will play its final road match of the regular season when it takes on Philadelphia Union II at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday, Sept. 17 at Subaru Park in Chester, Pa.

Huntsville City FC, currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, will look to potentially clinch a playoff berth as early as Sunday with a regulation win and a regulation loss by New York City FC II.

Huntsville will look to sweep the season series against Philadelphia after earning a 5-2 win on Aug. 19 at the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium. Forward Azaad Liadi made club history in the win with the team’s first hat-trick. Liadi’s performance earned him MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchday 23.

Earlier today, Huntsville City FC Head Coach Jack Collison and midfielder Joey DeZart previewed the match against Philadelphia Union II, discussing what the team learned from the first game, how the team’s fate is in their own hands, and playing in games with major playoff implications. DeZart also talked about returning to Philadelphia after playing in its academy.
