Talk about making your first goal of the season count.
Carolina Core FC midfielder Jathan Juarez has earned the Goal of Matchweek 14 honor after launching a rocket into the top right corner to lift his side to a 1-0 victory over Orlando City B last week.
The goal, his first of the campaign, took place at the perfect moment, breaking a deadlock and securing all three points for Carolina Core FC.
A San Antonio, Texas native, Juarez joined Carolina Core FC in 2023 after developing in the Houston Dynamo Academy and making his professional debut with Dynamo 2 in 2022.
This marks the second time the 22-year-old has earned the Goal of the Matchweek award, earning the honor for the first time back in Matchweek 18 of the 2024 season.
Other Goal of Matchweek 14 nominees included Kyle Linhares (Timbers2), Aidan Martinez (MNUFC2), and Yuma Tsuji (Whitecaps FC 2).
Up next for Carolina Core FC will be a battle against Eastern Conference leaders New York Red Bulls II on June 21.
