Andrej Subotić’s spectacular strike against Orlando City B has earned the Crown Legacy FC midfielder the MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 17 award.
The 18-year-old’s left-footed rocket earned 35% of the fan vote, narrowly beating out North Texas SC’s Sam Sarver in one of the closest Goal of the Matchweek polls this season.
Sebastiano Musu (NYCFC II) and Derek Cuevas (Carolina Core FC) were also among the nominees.
The goal marked Subotić’s fourth since arriving at CLFC back in January. He also recorded his second assist of the campaign in the same match.
The midfielder has previously featured in 29 matches across four of Serbia’s youth national teams and scored 56 goals in 94 youth appearances during his time at FC Čukarički.
Crown Legacy FC will now turn their attention to in-state rival Carolina Core FC when they host the side on July 9 at 7:00 PM. ET.
