Chattanooga FC defender Nathan Koehler has earned MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 22 for his long-range strike against Orlando City B.
Koheler's goal took place in the opening minute of the second half, after CFC had gained possession near the midfield. The Chattanooga defender advanced the ball toward the OCB 18-yard-box area before driving a low shot past goalkeeper Carlos Mercado to open up the scoring.
Koehler struck again in stoppage time, scoring the equalizer after Orlando City B had gained a 2-1 lead, and sent the match to a shootout. Chattanooga FC went on to secure the extra point in the shootout, their fourth shootout victory of the season.
Other nominees for Goal of the Week included Chase Adams (Columbus Crew 2), Momoh Kamara (MNUFC2), and Kenji Mboma Dem (FC Cincinnati 2).
The Augusta, Georgia native has been a key part of the Chattanooga FC defense in 2025, starting 19 of the 20 games he’s played in and notching three goals for his team.
