MLS NEXT Pro Team of Matchweek 17: Philadelphia Union II

Philadelphia Union II delivered a statement game at Subaru Park, earning Team of Matchweek 17 honors with a dominant 5-0 win over Toronto FC II.
Markus Anderson found the opener in the 27th minute, while CJ Olney and David Vazquez added their own highlight-reel finishes in the second half.
The spotlight, however, belonged to 15-year-old Malik Jakupovic, who came off the bench to score a stoppage-time brace and cap off the club’s most dominant win of the season.
Now sitting second in the Eastern Conference with a league-best +22 goal differential, Union II have emerged as one of the most complete and dangerous teams on both sides of the ball in MLS NEXT Pro.
MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchweek 17: Alan Carleton, Huntsville City FC

Alan Carleton continues to prove he’s built for the big moments.
The 20-year-old midfielder was instrumental in Huntsville City FC’s come-from-behind 2-1 road victory over Eastern Conference leaders New York Red Bulls II.
His performance earned him MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchweek 17 honors, marking the second time he’s received the award this season.
With Huntsville trailing 1-0 midway through the second half, Carleton sparked the comeback with a brilliant outside-the-boot assist to Gunnar Studenhofft for the equalizer. He then sealed the win in the 83rd minute, finishing off a brilliant Huntsville counterattack.
A former Atlanta United academy product, Carleton has been one of Huntsville’s most reliable players in 2025. With five goals and five assists across 12 matches, Carleton is making a strong case for more minutes at the next level.
MLS NEXT Pro Rising Star of Matchweek 17: Patrick Los, Chicago Fire II

Patrick Los delivered yet again for Chicago Fire II.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper turned in another standout showing in Matchweek 17, making six saves to secure his third clean sheet of the season in a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Chattanooga FC.
The result extended Chicago’s unbeaten run to nine matches as they remain among the top four teams in the Eastern Conference standings.
A U.S. youth international, Los recently received an opportunity to train with the U.S. Men’s National Team Gold Cup squad under Mauricio Pochettino. The young goalkeeper made such an impression that Pochettino requested his presence at the Gold Cup Final in Houston last Sunday.
With his play turning heads at both the club and international level, Los has become one of the brightest young goalkeepers to watch in MLS NEXT Pro.
