Taking over the number one spot this week is Houston Dynamo 2 after an impressive 4-1 victory over St Louis CITY2.

It was a showdown between two Western Conference heavyweights, with both sides entering the match level on points and battling for first place.

Jahmani Bell had himself a game on the right flank with a goal of his own, while Diego Gonzalez changed the game off the bench with two assists.

The result gave Dynamo 2 sole possession of first place in the West and extended their unbeaten streak to nine matches.

They'll look to make it 10 games when they travel to face off against MNUFC2 this weekend.

The defeat also marked CITY2’s first regular-season home loss since April 6, 2025, ending a streak that lasted more than a year.

Now, they face another difficult test on the road against an Austin FC II side coming off a 3-0 victory and riding a seven-game unbeaten streak.

Here’s a stat: Austin FC II has not lost a match in regulation since March 1st, which was the opening weekend of the season.

Since then, ATX FC II has put together a seven-game unbeaten streak and remains the only team to take points off Houston Dynamo 2 this season.

Their attack finally exploded against Tacoma Defiance in a weather-delayed 3-0 victory, the most goals they've scored in a match in 2026.

Usually, it's Austin’s defense that does the heavy lifting, but this performance showed there may be another offensive level to this group.

With a two-game Matchweek 11 coming up, ATX II has a big opportunity to make their way back up the rankings.
