Carolina Core FC today announced that construction began on Go-Forth Elite Performance Center earlier this month. The eight-figure training complex is scheduled to open in 2025 ahead of Carolina Core FC’s second season in MLS NEXT Pro.

Go-Forth Elite Performance Center is an 11,000 square-foot facility anchored by the club’s sporting headquarters adjacent to Field 8 at the upper fields within the Phillips Park Soccer Complex.

This privately funded, state of the art facility, represents the cutting edge of player development. Fully accessible to CCFC professional players, this space will include a comprehensive gym, medical treatment and rehab facilities, equipment management area, locker-rooms, video analysis studio, executive offices, player lounges, and catering kitchen.

“Carolina Core FC is dedicated to the development and career advancement of every individual that comes through our club; from the players to the coaches to the student interns. We are investing in this club through this training facility with the same fierce dedication and commitment that we built this club on. The foundation of CCFC is our people and it is paramount that this state-of-the-art multimillion dollar training facility reflects the caliber of people in our club and gives them the tools they need to excel in their careers,” says CCFC Principal Investor Megan Oglesby.

Go-Forth Home Services has secured the naming rights of the training facility through a significant 10-year sponsorship. “Sponsoring this first in class facility represents the culmination of three things that have been paramount to my life since I was a child: the sport of soccer, my family's third-generation business, and proudly calling the Carolina Core region my home,” says Chase Hazelwood Owner of Go-Forth Home Services.

Crews and heavy equipment are now on-site performing earthwork and sitework at the facility to be known as the Go-Forth Elite Performance Center. This training facility serves as an impressive symbol of the opportunities that are emerging in the Core as a result of our community's dedication to innovation and growth,” says Leah Hazelwood Owner of Go-Forth Marketing.

When this vision started the focal point was to provide the best opportunities for players to develop and reach their full potential. “This facility is the pinnacle of Carolina Core FC’s pyramid, serving as the core of our professional players’ advancement on and off the field,” says Eddie Pope Chief Sporting Officer. “Furthermore, once CCFC’s Academy and Youth view the Go-Forth Elite Performance Center, they will have a tangible goal to aim for and they will surely do everything in their power to reach the professional level,” says Pope.

Design & Construction

Earlier this year, Carolina Core FC ownership brought on the design team, STITCH Design Shop, and general contractor, Landmark Builders, to help facilitate the ideas behind this project. The groups have partnered to progress the project toward this milestone and are leading the transition into the execution phase.
