HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Aug. 1, 2026) – Huntsville City FC fell 3-1 to Crown Legacy FC on Saturday night at Wicks Family Field.
The match marked the second meeting between the two clubs this season after Crown Legacy claimed a 7-2 victory in the first matchup.
Crown Legacy opened the scoring in the 12th minute to take an early 1-0 lead, but Huntsville City FC responded just after halftime. Zidane Yañez scored his second goal of the season in the 46th minute to level the match at 1-1 and send the teams into the halftime break even.
The visitors regained the lead in the 66th minute before adding an insurance goal in the 78th minute to secure the 3-1 result.
Huntsville City FC returns to Wicks Family Field on Wednesday, Aug. 12, for another matchup against Crown Legacy FC. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
