HUNTSVILLE CITY FC FALLS 4-1 TO ATLANTA UNITED 2 ON THE ROAD SUNDAY NIGHT

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Mar. 15, 2026) Huntsville City FC fell 4-1 to Atlanta United 2 in the first meeting between the two sides this season. 

Huntsville opened the scoring in the 14th minute when captain Leo Christiano recorded his first goal of the 2026 season to give HCFC an early lead. Atlanta responded in the 26th minute with an equalizer from Liam Butts, sending the match into halftime level. 

Atlanta United 2 took control in the second half when Luke Brennan scored in the 57th minute to give the home side the lead. Liam Butts then added his second of the night in the 61st minute to extend the advantage. 

Atlanta added one more late in the match when Enzo Dovlo found the back of the net in the 86th minute to secure the 4-1 result. 

Huntsville City FC will return home for its 2026 home opener on Saturday, March 21, when the club hosts rival Chattanooga FC at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
