HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Mar. 6, 2026) Huntsville City FC falls 7-2 to Crown Legacy FC on the road after a fast start from the home side created an early deficit.
Crown Legacy opened the scoring in the 3rd minute and quickly added two more in the 15th and 19th minutes to take an early lead. Huntsville responded in the 27th minute when Angel Iniguez found the back of the net to put HCFC on the board.
Crown Legacy answered again in the 43rd minute, but Huntsville continued to fight back. Just before halftime, Maximus Ekk converted a penalty kick from the spot to cut the deficit. Crown Legacy responded once more in stoppage time (45’+5’), sending the match into halftime with a 5-2 lead.
Huntsville City FC pushed forward in the second half looking to regain momentum, but Crown Legacy added two more goals in the 68th and 81st minutes to secure the 7-2 result.
Huntsville City FC will look to regroup as they prepare for their next road match against Atlanta United 2 on March 15 at 6 p.m. CT.
