HUNTSVILLE CITY FC FALLS IN SHOOTOUT TO CROWN LEGACY FC ON FIRST RESPONDERS NIGHT 

(June 20, 2025) – Huntsville City FC returned home to Wicks Family Field for First Responders Night, hosting Crown Legacy FC in front of a spirited crowd. Despite a hard-fought performance and three goals in regulation, the Boys in Blue ultimately fell in a shootout, 4-3.

Crown Legacy opened the scoring early with a 12th-minute goal before Alan Carleton responded in the 19th minute to level things up. Phillip Mayaka found the net against his former club to give Huntsville momentum heading into halftime.

In the second half, Carleton struck again to bring Huntsville ahead. Crown Legacy answered with a third goal in the 85th minute, sending the match into five minutes of added time, forcing the match to a shootout at 3-3.

In the shootout, Crown Legacy edged out Huntsville 4-3 to secure the extra point.

Huntsville City FC will look to bounce back as they hit the road for their next matchup against New England Revolution II on June 29th.
