(July 6, 2025) – Huntsville City FC traveled to take on New York Red Bulls II in their first matchup of the 2025 season, coming away with a tightly contested 2-1 road victory. Despite conceding an early goal in the 25th minute, the Boys in Blue showed resilience and determination to turn the game around.
The home team held a 1-0 lead at halftime, but Huntsville City FC struck early in the second half when Gunnar Studenhofft found the back of the net to level the score with Alan Carleton assist. With momentum shifting, Alan Carleton then delivered a late game-winner at the 85th minute. Studenhofft and Carleton both now have five goals each this season.
Huntsville City FC will return home to Wicks Family Field on July 18th to face Columbus Crew 2 with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
