Ceremony to take place at club's match on August 8

Chattanooga Football Club announced today that Juan Hernandez will be the next inductee to the club's Hall of Legends.

Hernandez retired from playing in 2023 and made an indelible impact on Chattanooga FC during his eight seasons with the club.

The Madrid native is the club's all-time assists leader (24) and second all-time appearance maker (127 matches).

Hernandez is the lone member of the Class of 2026, following on from co-founder Sheldon Grizzle (2025) and the inaugural class of 2024, which included co-founder Thomas Clark, former head coach Bill Elliott and all-time appearance maker Zeca Ferraz.

The former midfielder was a crucial member of the playing squad during the club's transition from amateur football to the professional game.

Hernandez was surprised with the news with a collection of video messages played on the videoboard at Finley Stadium congratulating him on the milestone, including from his wife and former CFC forward Summer Hernandez, his father Luis Hernandez Cotter, Bill Elliott and Sheldon Grizzle.

The induction ceremony will take place at the club's match on August 8, 2026.
