New England Revolution II midfielder Patrick Leal has been awarded the MLS NEXT Pro Goal of the Matchweek 13 for his stunning strike against Columbus Crew 2.
Leal's goal stood out among the week's best, earning over 70% of the poll vote. Other Goal of Matchweek 13 nominees included NYCFC II's Taylor Calheira, Ventura County FC's Ruben Ramos Jr., and NYRB II's Mohammed Sofo.
Leal's goal occurred in the 81st minute of the match, following a well-placed pass from Gabriel Chavez. Positioned just above the 18-yard box, Leal unleashed a powerful shot into the top left corner of the net, leaving the Columbus goalkeeper with no chance.
