Andrew Czech made his presence known in only his second match with The Core, scoring his first goal for the Foxes in the 82nd minute of The Core’s 3-2 loss to NYCFC II on Wednesday. He cleaned up a loose ball off a corner kick to cut the Foxes’ deficit to two and sparking a late-match rally. The Core will look to their new sparkplug to help lead the team back into the win column.
7 - Defending a Strong Attack
The Core’s defense will look to knock Inter Miami CF II off its strong attacking game on Saturday. Miami has proven to be one of the most accurate shooting teams in the league. The squad holds the second-best shooting percentage with a 43.6% mark. Miami forward Idoh Zeltzer-Zubida also stands in the top-10 with seven goals on the season. The Foxes plan to limit Miami’s open chances on the attack and force shots off goal. Nick Holliday can expect to be involved throughout the match after adding a pair of saves on Wednesday.

David Diaz kept The Core's hopes alive in the 92nd minute of Wednesday's loss as he launched a shot to the back of the net to make it a one-goal game. The rebound marked his second goal of the season, moving him into a three-way tie for the second-most goals on the club with Anthony Sumo Jr. and Antonio Pineda. Through 15 matches played, Diaz stands as the only member of The Core with multiple goals and assists with a pair in each category.
