Preview

Huntsville, Ala. (Sept. 8, 2023)– Huntsville City Football Club will play the first of two September home matches on Sunday, Sept. 10 when it takes on Atlanta United 2 at 6 p.m. CT at the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium. Tickets for the match, which will also celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night, can be purchased here.

Huntsville City FC, currently in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, will look to potentially clinch a playoff berth and extend its four-match home unbeaten streak as early as Sunday. The team will need a regulation win and regulation losses by New York City FC II and Philadelphia Union II.

Earlier today, Huntsville City FC Head Coach Jack Collison and defender Sean Suber previewed the match against Atlanta United 2, discussing the team’s energy in training amid a playoff push, what the team learned from the first game against Atlanta on July 23, and how important the fans will be in this key game.

Suber also talked about making himself available and the partnerships he has formed with the other center backs on the team.

Following the conclusion of Sunday’s match, fans at the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium will get to participate in a Party on the Pitch with a special performance from DJ Steve Metz, a light show, glow sticks, and more.

HCFC will honor community members and organizations making a difference in our city at every home match. This Sunday, Section 256, a special section in the stadium dedicated to celebrating our community, will host members of the Alabama Hispanic Association, whose mission is to harness the power of the greater Huntsville communities to support programs serving at-risk Hispanic children and families of North Alabama. Alabama Hispanic Association Treasurer Ralph Massey will be honored as the Hero of the Match, as Veteran Sergeant John Molina of the Alabama Army National Guard will serve as this week’s Landers McLarty Chevrolet Military Salute.

Fans who can’t make it out to the Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium on Saturday can enjoy the action on the MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV App.
