The last four unbeaten teams in MLS NEXT Pro continue to set the pace, headlining this week’s Power Rankings.
Red Bull NY II are finding their rhythm at the right time, coming off a pair of convincing wins, while Toronto FC II makes the biggest jump in the rankings after another strong result at home that has them knocking on the door of the top five.
Let’s take a look at who made the cut in this week’s Top 10 Power Rankings.
Crown Legacy FC suffered their first shootout loss of the season, falling 4-2 to Carolina Core FC after a back-and-forth match.
CLFC struck first, but an Arnaud Tattevin brace flipped the game before Hugo Mbongue brought it level in the 56th minute.
Despite controlling possession and creating more chances at goal, Crown Legacy FC could not find a winner and had to settle for a point.
Now they head to Florida in search of a positive result against Orlando City B, a team they have not beaten since 2023.

St Louis CITY2 took care of business at home against one of the Western Conference’s top teams, earning a 2-1 win over Ventura County FC in Matchweek 8.
Riley Lynch was the spark plug for CITY2’s offense, delivering a goal and an assist from the wing on his way to Player of the Matchweek honors.
CITY2 are now right on the heels of the top spot in the rankings and will look to make that jump with a result at MNUFC2 in Matchweek 9.

A trip to Kansas City ended with Houston Dynamo 2 bringing home all three points after securing a 2-1 win.
2026 MLS SuperDraft pick Austin Brummett led the way for Dynamo 2, scoring a brace, helping secure the club’s sixth victory of the season.
Jeremy Hurdle’s side continues to set the standard defensively, allowing just two goals in over 600 minutes of play.
Houston will stay on the road for Matchweek 9 as they travel to face Colorado Rapids 2.

A perfect April has pushed Red Bull NY II up to number four in the Power Rankings after their third straight victory during Matchweek 8.
Red Bull II put together a statement performance in a 4-1 win over Columbus Crew 2, with Dennis Gjengaar once again providing two assists. At the same time, Andy Rojas created four chances from the right flank.
The defending champions are rounding into form just in time for their first I-95 rivalry clash of the season against Philadelphia Union II this weekend.

Ventura County FC fell 2-1 on the road to Western Conference leaders St Louis CITY2 over the weekend.
Dylan Vanney once again led the way for a VCFC side that featured just two players over the age of 20 in the starting eleven.
The story remains the same for VCFC; if they can find more support around Vanney in the attack, the results will follow.
They will look to bounce back at home this week against Earthquakes II.

Back-to-back wins have TFC II knocking at the door of the top five teams in this week’s Power Rankings.
Toronto FC II took down NYCFC II behind an impressive performance from 16-year-old Jamaican international Jahmarie Nolan, who scored and added an assist to lead his side to a 2-1 victory.
An unbeaten April is a strong turnaround for a team that could not find a win in its first five matches.
Now, TFC II will turn their attention to a road test against FC Cincinnati 2 to make it three wins in a row.

Atlanta United 2 had a bye in Matchweek 8. They'll face off against a Carolina Core FC side coming off a shootout win over Eastern Conference leaders Crown Legacy FC.

A pair of golazos from Eddie Davis and Stas Korzeniowski powered Philadelphia Union II to a 2-1 win over Connecticut United FC.
The result marked their first road victory of the season and lifted Ryan Richter’s side to third place in the Eastern Conference with 14 points.
Now, a bigger test awaits as they host Red Bull II in a matchup that always brings the fireworks.

It was a tough outing for Federico Higuaín’s side, falling 4-1 to New York Red Bulls II on the road.
Luke Pruter stood tall with 11 saves, but Columbus Crew 2 had no answers for Red Bulls II’s attack.
