High Point, NC (September 22, 2026) - Carolina Core FC today announced that the club has exercised its option on Bryce Swinehart for the 2027 season, securing his return ahead of the upcoming MLS NEXT Pro Sprint Season.
Swinehart emerged as a consistent starter during the 2026 campaign, appearing in nine matches and starting all nine while logging 722 minutes.
His season was highlighted by his first goal for Carolina Core FC, which came in the Foxes’ final home match of the year against New England Revolution II.
“When recruiting Bryce from Asheville City in USL League Two, we knew he could immediately help us in the back line,” said Carolina Core FC Head Coach Jake Davis. “His desire to defend and help keep clean sheets is the mentality we are looking for. As a Core Connection, Bryce understands what we are building here at Carolina Core, and I am excited to continue helping his development as both a player and person.”

Swinehart’s performances throughout the season gave Carolina Core FC another reliable option in the back line while reinforcing the defensive mentality Davis continues to establish within the group.
Swinehart will return to the Foxes as Carolina Core FC continues assembling its roster for the 2027 Sprint Season under Davis.
