Chattanooga FC extended its unbeaten streak to nine matches after a 1-0 win over Inter Miami CF II in Fort Lauderdale on Friday evening.
Alex Krehl continued his red-hot goalscoring form and notched his 12th goal of the season to equal the club's single-season goals record in MLS NEXT Pro set by Mehdi Ouamri in 2024 (12).
The winning goal came in the 31st minute when Krehl latched onto the end of a low cross sent in by Daniel Mangarov before evading his marker and finishing via a slight deflection.
Farid Sar-Sar and Eldin Jakupović made a couple of decisive saves near the conclusion of the first-half.
Krehl nearly had a second on the night in the 71st minute when Sar-Sar headed a ball into his path, but Krehl headed just wide of Miami keeper Matias Marin's post.
From there, the Boys in Blue managed the match with professionalism to secure all three points to draw level on 40 points with Crown Legacy FC at the top of the Eastern Conference and complete the season sweep over Miami.
The result also represents the earliest the club has secured 10 wins in a single MLS NEXT Pro campaign.
