Annick Manga Zouma and Tori Soutuyo continue goalscoring form

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (July 2, 2026) — Chattanooga FC closed out the 2026 WPSL season with a 2-1 win over Atlanta Fire United on Thursday night at Finley Stadium.

The two sides exchanged chances through the first part of the half, but it was Atlanta Fire's Caroline Rivera Micheo who opened the scoring for the visitors in the 19th minute.

Chattanooga's patience paid off just before halftime as Annick Manga Zouma equalized for CFC after patient team build-up play to send the match into the break tied at 1-1.

CFC carried the momentum into the second half and took the lead as Manga Zouma found Tori Soutuyo with a sharp cutback cross and the midfielder pocketed it high into the net for her second goal in as many matches.

Chattanooga held onto its 2-1 lead to finish its season on a high note.

"The most important thing is how the team is able to adapt to different opponents and circumstances," said Head Coach Majo Harispuru in the post-match press conference. "It's been fantastic to see the depth of our roster committed to what we're trying to do here and, second, how we showed up to the field and executed. The team also adapted to the weather, which I respect. I wasn't even running and I felt it. I'm very happy with how we reacted after conceding the first goal and how we were able to go forward and make sure we got the win."

Chattanooga FC finished the 2026 WPSL season with four wins, one draw and three defeats and in fifth place in the Southeast Conference. After the final whistle, Harispuru reflected on the season as a whole.

"It was a season of growth for everyone, which is positive," said Harispuru. "I'm super happy with how we built the team, with everyone's commitment and how quickly we were able to become a team and family. We showed little by little what we wanted to on the field. I was clear from the start that we would be a team that wants to be smart with the ball and that showed in games. Then things can happen in games and that's the beauty of it all and that's why we're all here addicted to it. There are many weird things and outcomes that happen. We will try to control those next season as much as we can, but overall I'm super happy with the performance, the outcome and with everyone we had."
