CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (September 3, 2026) — Chattanooga Football Club announced today that Majo Harispuru will return as head coach of Chattanooga FC Women for the 2027 Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) season.
Harispuru took charge of the program as head coach in 2026 and led the team to a winning record of 4W-1D-3L and a fifth-place finish in a highly-competitive Southeast Conference.
The club also set a new attendance record for its WPSL team when 1,982 fans witnessed our 1-0 victory over 865 Alliance.
Harispuru was the assistant coach for the team in 2025 before being promoted to head coach for the 2026 campaign.
"Majo has helped us reach several important objectives and has been instrumental in the progress of our women's program," said Chattanooga FC Sporting Director Sebastian Giraldo. "We're excited to have her back to build on that foundation. The next step for us is creating a sustainable championship program and establishing CFC firmly as one of the top pre-professional environments in the country.
Harispuru said: “I’m incredibly excited to return for the 2027 season. I’m grateful to the club for this opportunity and excited to continue building something special together.
We want to build on the great things we’ve accomplished together, and I’m committed not only to growing our women’s game, but to continuing to establish our program as one of the most competitive in our conference and region, a team that opponents do not look forward to competing against, and a team our fans can be proud of, excited to follow, and eager to support. ¡Vamos CFC!”
The WPSL will embark on its 29th season in 2027 with more information to follow in the coming months.
