Chattanooga FC travels to face Atlanta United 2 for a Southeast Division matchup on Saturday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m. in Athens, Ga.
Chattanooga FC squares off with Atlanta United 2 for the first time this season on Saturday night.
Tate Robertson, Isaiah Jones and Alex Krehl led the way for the Blues in their 4-0 shutout against Red Bull New York II last Saturday. Robertson scored his first brace of the year while Jones bagged his first goal of the season and Krehl scored for the fourth consecutive match. Goalkeeper Eldin Jakupović also made his 50th appearance for the Scenic City.
Following Chattanooga's dominant performance, the club was named the MLS NEXT Pro Team of Matchweek 14.
The win saw CFC stay in playoff contention and maintain its seventh place spot in the Eastern Conference. Going into Saturday, Chattanooga sits fourth in the Southeast Division with a total of 22 points through 13 matches.
Chattanooga holds an overall record of 1-2-3 (3SOW) against Atlanta United 2, with the two most recently meeting on last season's Decision Day on October 5, 2025, when CFC played Atlanta to a 1-1 draw before securing a home playoff match by winning the shootout 5-4.
Chattanooga will host the remaining two matchups against Atlanta later this season on August 8 and September 13.
Coach's corner
Interim Head Coach Richard Dixon previewed the first encounter of 2026 against ATL UTD 2 and discussed what he is hoping the team continues executing from last weekend's dominant performance.
"We want to continue the attacking trends that we saw from last week," said Dixon. "The guys did very well in the attacking third with chance creation and finishing. There was a high level of synergy between the group in and out of possession. The guys have great clarity of what they need to do in each phase of the game. The group is in a good place and looking to stay consistent with our performances, collectively and individually."
