Rochester New York FC comes into this week as the hottest team in MLS NEXT Pro, winning its last four matches with the last one being a dominant 4-0 triumph over Eastern Conference leaders Columbus Crew 2.  The side now sits in fifth in the East with a 4-3-1 record — a massive turnaround from its first four games.

Both sides of the ball are clicking for RNY FC in its four-game winning streak as it scored 13 goals while only conceding twice. These results are also coming against some of the best teams in the Eastern Conference such as Columbus Crew 2, Philadelphia Union II and Inter Miami II.

Despite being on a tear all of May, RNY FC head coach Bruno Baltazar said his squad is prepared for a battle this week against Toronto FC II. l

“Big challenge ahead against Toronto,” Baltazar told MLS NEXT Pro. “They want to bounce back for sure and we are ready for that reaction from them.”

Everything being said, expect Rochester New York FC’s offense to net multiple goals again this week against a leaky Toronto FC II backline.

Players to Watch:

Gibran Rayo, forward - The young forward scored twice last week and now has three goals on the season. Will his form continue this week?

Pedro Dolabella, midfielder - Despite being a midfielder, Dolabella leads the team with four goals. He didn’t get on the score sheet last week so look for him to make amends.

Caique, goalkeeper - Caique has been a rock for RNY FC this season tallying 23 saves and three clean sheets. Look for the 24-year-old to make massive saves against Toronto FC II.
