Whitecaps FC 2 earned a thrilling 3-1 victory over North Texas SC this weekend, avenging a loss from in early May.

Théo Collomb notched a brace in his first-ever MLS NEXT Pro start, scoring twice in the second half of play.

With their victory against North Texas SC, WCFC2 currently sits in 4th place in the Western Conference with 25 points.

Pa-Modou Kah's men fell on the road for the first time this season, suffering a 3-1 loss at the hands of Whitecaps FC 2.

The result ended the North Texas SC's four-game winning streak, but with 27 points, they remain in good standing in the Western Conference, sitting in 3rd place.

Is there a hotter team in MLS NEXT Pro right now? 

Tacoma Defiance took care of things at home on Saturday when they defeated Colorado Rapids 4-1, extending their unbeaten streak to nine games.

Marlon Vargas scored for the sixth game in a row, bringing his season total to seven and tying him with teammate Alfonso Ocampo Chavez.

With their victory over the weekend, Defiance has moved up to first place in the Western Conference with 28 points.

The only team from the Eastern Conference in this week's rankings, Columbus Crew 2, took care of business at home on Sunday and defeated Orlando City B by the score of 6-1.

Jacen Russell-Rowe scored a first-half brace, bringing his season total to 11 goals and making him the MLS NEXT Pro leading scorer through 13 weeks.

After earning their 10th victory of the campaign, Crew 2 leads the pack in the Eastern Conference and MLS NEXT Pro with 30 points.
