Carolina Core FC SIGN ANGEL AGUAS

HIGH POINT, N.C. (December 27, 2023) - Carolina Core FC, an independent club that will join MLS NEXT Pro in 2024, has signed 20 year-old, Angel Aguas.

“Angel is a very smart and technical defender who reads the game at a high level. I have seen his development over the past few years and believe he will progress well in the MLS NEXT Pro league. We await his contribution and continued growth and have confidence in what he will bring to Carolina Core FC in 2024,” says Roy Lassiter, Head Coach.

Angel developed under the leadership of Head Coach, Roy Lassiter, last season competing with Houston Dynamo’s U-20 squad. The defender moved up to the U-20 team after an impressive season with the Houston Dynamo Academy’s 02/03 team in which he was awarded with 1st Team All-Conference honors.

The defender will play his third season within the MLS NEXT Pro league with Carolina Core FC. His previous experience with FC Cincinnati 2 will be instrumental. Carolina Core FC will play their home matches at Truist Point Stadium in downtown High Point, North Carolina.
