HIGH POINT, N.C. (March 7, 2026) – Carolina Core FC has announced the signing of El Salvador National Team midfielder Robinson Aguirre.

A highly-rated 21-year-old talent, Aguirre joins the Core after three seasons with Colorado Rapids 2, where he was a mainstay in the midfield. Since the inaugural 2022 MLS NEXT Pro season, Aguirre made 67 appearances for the Rapids’ affiliate, logging over 4,000 professional minutes and establishing himself as one of the most reliable midfielders in the league.

“Robinson is a player who brings a level of maturity and international experience from a young age,” said Head Coach Donovan Ricketts. “His composure on the ball and ability to dictate the tempo of a match make him a perfect fit for our system. Having already competed at the highest levels for both club and country, we expect him to be a significant contributor in our midfield this season.”

Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Aguirre’s rapid ascent saw him earn his senior international debut for the El Salvador National Team in 2022 at just 17 years old. Known for his passing accuracy, consistently maintaining over 80% in professional play, Aguirre has represented El Salvador at both the U-20 and senior levels.

His addition marks a major step in bolstering the Core’s central midfield as the club embarks upon its third season.
