Evans joins the Carolina Core FC team with two years of MLS NEXT Pro league experience having played with Houston Dynamo 2. In his debut season in 2022, Jacob logged 22 match appearances (starting 19), and recorded 1,643 minutes played. Last season, the midfielder made 29 appearances with Houston Dyanmo 2 (starting 28), and recorded 4 goals and 4 assists on the season.

“Jacob is a talented midfielder with perpetual vision for the game. He has the ability to control the pace of a game and get players involved. I have observed him for the last two years and our technical staff were impressed with his ability and his potential contribution. We look forward to his continued growth and what he will bring to Carolina Core FC this coming year,” states Roy Lassiter, Head Coach.

The England native will play his third season within the MLS NEXT Pro league with Carolina Core FC. His previous experience with Houston Dynamo 2 should prove to be instrumental. Carolina Core FC will play their home matches at Truist Point Stadium in downtown High Point, North Carolina.

"Jacob will be able to play in a couple of different spots for us, which is great for a club like ours in its inaugural season. We will rely on his leadership both on and off the field as he will certainly be one of the cornerstones of CCFC," says Eddie Pope, Chief Sporting Officer.
