2024 women's team open tryouts set for February 4

Chattanooga Football Club is pleased to announce the 2024 Open Tryout for the women's team will take place on Sunday, February 4 at Finley Stadium.

The club is committed to honoring a long-standing tradition as it builds its roster for the 2024 Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) season, which will take place from May to July next year.

“Having an open tryout is vital to the mission of CFC, which is connecting with the community both in Chattanooga and beyond," said newly-appointed Head Coach Tom Halsall.

"We want to find that diamond in the rough and to be able to give opportunities to people that want to experience what it means to be a part of our wonderful club and to play in front of the best fans in the country."

"Tryouts are an important part of the process to select a team, especially for us here at CFC," said Chattanooga FC Women assistant coach Juan Hernandez. "It allows local talent, academy players and out-of-town players to show their individual attributes and compete against each other while still enjoying a quality session led by the CFC coaches."

Players must register in advance here. There is a $30.00 registration fee.

The tryout will be divided into a morning session from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a break for lunch, and then an afternoon session of games from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Check-in for players will begin at 8:00 a.m.

Select players could then have the opportunity to join the first team in preseason training.

Stands will be open to the public to watch and support the players. No ticket is required.

NOTE: Players must be at least 16 years of age by May 1, 2024 to participate in the open tryout.
