For the club's final regular season home match of 2025, the theme is 'Soktoberfest' in a match presented by Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. Here, we detail the history between the two clubs and sister cities.
Chattanooga Football Club has chartered many unknown waters throughout its history.
The country had never seen the fervor of support, for what was an amateur soccer team at the time, on display on August 18, 2015 in the NPSL National Championship when 18,227 fans turned up to support their city.
In January of 2017, Chattanooga FC signed a declaration of intent with VfL Wolfsburg from the Bundesliga, Germany's top professional soccer league. The agreement was founded on both clubs sharing knowledge in areas such as youth development, marketing, women's soccer development and social responsibility.
The relationship was largely based upon CFC's long-lasting jersey sponsor Volkswagen-Group, which has one of its most prominent production locations in the city. Wolfsburg as a club grew out of a multi-sports club for Volkswagen workers in the city of Wolfsburg. To this day, the team plays in the Volkswagen Arena, which has a total capacity of 30,000 spectators.

StrongHER
In March 2022, Wolfsburg kicked off the first official StrongHER Camp in Chattanooga in partnership with Chattanooga FC and Operation Get Active.
In the course of the program, Wolfsburg coaches travel to Chattanooga twice a year to conduct 10-week soccer camps. Each camp provides 30 girls from local communities with free access to a quality coaching experience as well as individual mentoring on site. Interested participants are also given the opportunity to receive free coaching training, including certification from VfL Wolfsburg.
"StrongHER has helped create women's teams in elementary, middle and high schools," said Chattanooga FC Co-Founder Krue Brock. "StrongHER helped bridge mentoring relationships with leaders in town. We are grateful for this partnership, which has helped us think global and act local."
The campaign was featured on the sleeve of the most recent kits for Chattanooga FC Women throughout the 2025 WPSL season.

Historic kit partnership
The clubs made history with an unprecedented level of collaboration in the 2021/2022 season when Wolfsburg became the official front-of-kit-sponsor for the 2021 men's away kit and agreed a partnership to support the return of Chattanooga FC Women in 2022 onwards.
At the time of the announcement, then-VfL Sporting Director Marcel Schäfer, who has since gone on to become the managing director of sport for RB Leipzing, had this to say about Chattanooga FC: "In my opinion, Chattanooga FC is absolutely unique and a true one-off. The club is owned by its fans, which resonates with me in a special way. I have been there several times myself and was always impressed and inspired by the vibrancy and energy of this club and city. I am pleased that we can support this extraordinary club with our commitment to further expand its soccer offerings."
Youth summer camps
For the past several years, representatives from Wolfsburg have flown to the U.S. to host summer soccer camps in collaboration with the CFC Academy and CFC Youth teams. The camps are tailored to advanced youth players from a variety of age groups.

The partnership manifests in a multitude of ways, including development, coaching education and strategy as well as the matchday fan experience.
This Sunday, CFC will be closing out the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro regular season in style with Soktoberfest, presented by Wolfsburg. From the beverage and food options on offer to giveaways, music and more, Chattanooga's supporters will feel like they're at a matchday in northern Germany for one afternoon.
