The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga freshman joins Chattanooga FC Women for the 2025 season!
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (May 7, 2025) — Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) today announced it has signed forward Ella Attaway for the 2025 Chattanooga FC Women's WPSL season, pending federation and league approval.
The Buford, Georgia native tallied one goal and three appearances as a freshman for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga during the 2024 season. Her goal at Belmont University was the first of her collegiate career, netting the equalizer in Chattanooga’s 1-1 draw.
Prior to joining UTC, Attaway helped Buford High School to back-to-back 6A Region 7 titles in 2021 and 2022. Her youth career was spent with Atlanta Fire United, where she played a key role in her squad reaching nationals in California ECNL.
"Ella is a young player with a lot of potential and a strong physical presence in attack," said Chattanooga FC Women Head Coach Juan Hernandez. "She demonstrates consistent quality in and around the box, making her a constant threat. This past fall, she gained valuable experience as a freshman at UTC and brings a solid club background, having competed in ECNL with Atlanta Fire."
Attaway expessed her enthusiasm upon joining Chattanooga FC Women.
"I am extremely honored to be given the opportunity to play for one of the most historic clubs in American soccer. I am so excited to be a part of something so special and to see all that this year brings."
