CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 5, 2024) — Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) today announced it has signed midfielder Ethan Koren to a one-year contract.
Koren spent the past two seasons with Chattanooga FC and re-signs with the club for its inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro.
"He's a good younger leader and that's really important to us," said Head Coach and Sporting Director Rod Underwood. "He was on the leadership council last year and that also played a big part in our decision. He's respected as a young leader. He can communicate with the younger guys and connect with the older guys. He understands our style, he's a hard worker and he has ability."
Koren expressed his excitement at extending his time with the club.
"I'm super excited to be returning to such a great club and with the best fans in the country supporting us all the way," said Koren.
"It means so much to me to be able to use football to bring the community together, from all different diverse backgrounds, seeing everyone at Finley Stadium and around Chattanooga having the same goal of winning football games and watching great football; it's a special feeling of togetherness that is unmatched."
The 22-year-old will wear the number 12 jersey for the 2024 season.
