Jeff Underwood announced as next Supporter Director on CFC Board

Jeff Underwood marches in with the Chattahooligans

Chattanooga Football Club announced today that Jeff Underwood has been voted in as the next Supporter Director to serve on the club's Board of Directors.

Underwood will serve a two-year term, stepping into the role following on from Jamion Williams, who served on the board as the supporter owner representative since 2021. The club thanks Williams for his dedication, time and service in the role.

Underwood moved to Chattanooga from Atlanta in 2005 and has been a season ticket holder since 2014.

"The community that grew up around the club drew me in," said Underwood. "Even if you're just a supporter, it feels like you are a part of something special with the team. I want to help the club grow its presence in the community and keep building for whatever the next chapter brings. Chattanooga is my home. I want to help this club be the best it can be."

Underwood will join the following board members: CFC Primary Owner and Chairman of the Board Davis Grizzard, Co-Founder Thomas Clark, Board Member Carol Grizzard, Co-Founder Sheldon Grizzle, Treasurer Casey Hammontree and Board Member Benjamin Boycott.

When did you fall in love with Chattanooga FC?
Underwood:
It was probably our first season as season ticket holders in 2014. That season felt magical. That was the Hank Steinbrescher Cup (winners!) year and the year we made it to the third round of the Open Cup after beating Wilmington Hammerheads away. Some club legends were minted that season.

What is your favorite CFC memory?
The road trips are probably the best. We traveled on the bus to watch the 2014 NPSL Championship game between us and Red Bulls U23. For a few minutes in the first half, we were ahead and the world felt right. We definitely won the battle of fans and noise that night. Despite the fact that we lost, it was still an incredibly special trip and I wouldn't trade that memory (although celebrating with the winners' trophy would be amazing).
