Chattanooga FC Women travels to face Georgia Impact on Wednesday as it continues its quest to finish at the summit of the Southeast Conference - Peachtree Division.
Chattanooga FC Women will look to make it three wins on the bounce when it travels to face Georgia Impact in Canton, Georgia on Wednesday evening.
CFC is looking to sweep the season series over the Impact following its come-from-behind 2-1 win back on May 30th.
"We will need to be clinical," said Chattanooga FC Women Head Coach Juan Hernandez. "We had some really good moments in our most recent match against Atlanta Fire United, but we didn't finish a lot of the chances that we had. When you go away against a good team, if you don't finish your chances, we're going to get into situations that won't be easy. If we can play the way we played in the second half [against Atlanta Fire] and finish our chances, good things will happen."
Chattanooga will look to continue to keep pace with Decatur FC after the Atlanta-based club's recent 4-0 win at the Impact on Sunday evening.
McDermott's impact
CFC will be looking for forward Reese McDermott to continue her sensationally consistent form this season.
The Colorado School of Mines graduate is the top scorer in the Southeast Conference - Peachtree Division with five goals. McDermott has scored in all but one match so far this season.
Know the opponent
The match on Wednesday night will be Georgia Impact's home finale for the 2025 regular season.
The club is coming off a 4-0 defeat by division leaders Decatur FC on Sunday. The team sits in third place in the table with both of its wins coming in dominant fashion against Atlanta Fire United, 3-0 at home and 4-1 away.
Impact is coached by Rob Roddie and assisted by Juan PeƱa and Wesley Lutz.
The club is participating in its third season in the WPSL.
