Chattanooga FC closes out the month at home by hosting Columbus Crew 2 on Saturday, March 28 at Finley Stadium, with kickoff set for 7:00 pm ET.

Chattanooga FC returns to Finley Stadium on Saturday night when it welcomes Columbus Crew 2 for the lone regular season matchup between the two clubs.

CFC's last match at Huntsville saw the Boys in Blue come back from 2-0 to equalize and bring home a well-earned point. Alex Krehl scored his third goal of the season while Tate Robertson converted a penalty kick for his second of the year.

In the pair of previous matches against Columbus, Chattanooga earned a 2-1 win at home on September 8, 2024 and saw a 3-0 road loss on April 27, 2025.

Coach's corner

Interim Head Coach Richard Dixon was asked about the team's fast starts this season and what his message to the team has been to contribute to that trend.

"A big thing we wanted to change this year was we wanted to make sure we were starting games on the front foot," said Dixon. "We want to get in behind teams and make them defend their box and give them as little chance as possible to connect any forward passes in the way we press. It's been a big area of emphasis. We want to make sure that we not only have a fast start but we want to sustain that for longer periods of time. We understand there will be momentum swings in the game and be in transition, so as we continue to learn each other and our tendencies, the goal is that we continue to mitigate those transition moments."

Dixon was also asked about the positive impact of new forward signing Alex Krehl.

"Alex has been a big signing for us. He's been a game changer. He was with us on trial for two weeks and he came in at a good time. We knew he had something that we wanted to see more of, so we kept him for a little longer. He's a very good footballer, has a good understanding of the game and he wants to do the dirty work and press the centerbacks. He enjoys the physical side of the game and holding up the ball to bring in the midfield into the game. His mentality is relentless is what separates him from a lot of No9s right now."
