(High Point, NC – June 29, 2026) - Carolina Core FC announced the signing of defender Ricks "Bodie" Ford, an addition that builds on the club's growing commitment to developing young talent. At just 18 years old, Ford arrives in High Point with valuable academy and professional experience.
Ford joins the Foxes from Arizona-based Barca Residency Academy, where he developed into a commanding presence along the back line.
The natural left back joined USL Championship side New Mexico United on loan in May 2025, making three appearances as he continued his progression in a professional environment.

Prior to beginning his professional career, Ford developed at American Fork High School in Utah, where he played for the varsity team during the 2022-23 season. Although primarily a defender, he showcased an attacking mindset, recording four goals and one assist in just five appearances.
Ford arrives in High Point ready to continue his professional development as Carolina Core FC pushes through the remainder of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season.
