Chattanooga Football Club has been named MLS NEXT Pro Team of the Matchweek following the club's 4-0 rout of Philadelphia Union II on Saturday night.
The Boys in Blue extended its unbeaten streak to eight matches with the result.
It was a significant match for Tate Robertson, who became the club's all-time leader in assists (25).
It was also a significant day for Ameziane Sid Mohand, Nathan Koehler and Daniel Mangarov, who each scored for the first time in the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season.
"I thought today's performance was as good as any this season," said Koehler in the post-match press conference. "We definitely had a plan and we do our scouting through the week, but of course it's down to how we perform ourselves, and I thought to a man we were unbelievable today. I thought we were good value, so hopefully the fans enjoyed it as much as we did on the pitch."
There is no doubt that was true on Saturday night as well as there being an appreciation for the team's performances holistically throughout the summer. After the match, Interim Head Coach Richard Dixon was asked what he thinks has led to the team's eight-game unbeaten streak.
"All credit goes to the players," said Dixon. "We work on different concepts each week, and at the end of the day they still have to go out and execute. At times it doesn't go as well, but I felt tonight it came together. We have a good group of guys who want to play and work for each other, and that goes a long way. Tactics aside, it's a group of guys who enjoy being here and want to represent the club and community well."
The win sees CFC rise to third place in the Eastern Conference with a total of 37 points through 20 matches.
Chattanooga will now fly south to face Inter Miami CF II in Fort Lauderdale on July 31 before being back in action at Finley Stadium on August 8 against Southeast rivals Atlanta United 2. Tickets are on sale now.
