Sunday will also mark the first and only matchup between CT United and Inter Miami CF II this season. Alex Monis brought energy to the attack throughout his 79-minute performance, making dangerous runs in behind the NYCFC II back line and closing the first half with a threatening shot. Monis also ranks third in MLS NEXT Pro with four penalty-kick goals this season, converting all four attempts.Â
Ernesto Gomez provided an attacking spark after entering the match, getting on the ball and helping inject energy into the Coywolves’ attack. He completed all nine of his passes during his 10-minute appearance, giving CT United a reliable outlet in possession.
