MLS NEXT Pro Power Rankings: Matchweek 14

Taylor Calheira - NYCFC II

The 2024 MLS NEXT Pro regular season continued this weekend with several teams earning positive results in both conferences.

St. Louis CITY SC jumped to first place in the Western Conference after continuing their winning run while Philadelphia Union II also did the same in the East. Chattanooga FC stayed right behind Union II after registering a shootout win at Orlando City B.

FC Cincinnati 2 and Chicago Fire II earned impressive road results to continue their respective surges up the league standings.

Here is a closer look at MLS NEXT Pro's Top 10 Power Rankings following Matchweek 14:

10.) Sporting KC II

Sporting KC II suffered their worst loss of 2024, which dropped them to No. 10 in this week's Power Rankings.

A 5-1 defeat the hands of Real Monarchs ended SKC II's four-match regulation unbeaten run. SKC II couldn't get it going on the road, being held without a goal until the 81st minute. Ethan Bryant's consolation tally was the only bright spot for Benny Feilhaber's men in a forgettable performance.

A trip to West-leading St. Louis CITY2 next weekend looms for SKC II.

Next Match: at St. Louis CITY2 on Sunday, June 23.

Taylor Calheira scored twice for NYCFC II before Julien Lacher added an insurance goal in stoppage time. Calheira has been crucial over the last few weeks, scoring five goals in his last three appearances.

The 22-year-old will need to remain impactful if NYCFC II wants to continue winning this summer.
