CFC is coming off a 5-2 rout of Carolina Core FC headlined by Alex Krehl's first career hat-trick, which brought the striker within one goal at the top of the MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot race.
This will be CFC and Huntsville City's last of three meetings during the 2026 regular season. The teams split the spoils 2-2 at Wicks Family Field in the early stages of the season before Huntsville edged CFC 2-0 at Finley Stadium at the beginning of May.
A lot has changed since then. CFC went on an MLS NEXT Pro era club-record 11-match unbeaten run throughout the heart of summer, which has ultimately seen the Boys in Blue compete at the top of the Eastern Conference.
Huntsville, on the other hand, are on the outside looking in, sitting below the playoff line and desperate for points.

Head Coach Richard Dixon previewed the match with media this week.
"It's always a tough game going up against Huntsville. They value intricate possession, but they can also play in behind early. They're very good in transition to attack, so we'll need to be mindful of that. I expect it to be a great game."
