A club tradition continues ahead of our third season competing in MLS NEXT Pro.
Chattanooga Football Club announced today that the 2026 open tryouts for its men's professional team will take place on Saturday, January 10 at Finley Stadium.
The club is committed to honoring a long-standing tradition of offering a shot at the first team for top talent in the community and beyond to earn an opportunity to make the club's MLS NEXT Pro roster.
Interested players must register in advance here. There is a $100.00 registration fee.
"We have signed a player from the open tryout every year that I've been here," said Chattanooga FC Head Coach Chris Nugent. "Greg Stratton, Jungwoo So, Logan Brown and Colin Thomas were all players that came to our open tryout and eventually signed first-team contracts with us. So we'll be looking to continue that ahead of next season."
The tryout will be divided into a morning session from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a break for lunch, and then an afternoon session of games from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Check-in for players begins at 8:00 a.m.
Select players could then have the opportunity to join the first team in preseason training or attend a combine.
Previous years' open tryouts have seen players travel from Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC and Wisconsin to take part and battle for their dream.
NOTE: Players must be at least 16 years of age to participate in the open tryout.
