High Point, NC (June 13, 2026) - Carolina Core FC painted a perfect picture on Art of the Game Night as The Foxes took down the Eastern Conference leaders in a 2-0 victory against Crown Legacy FC.
The opening stages featured a tightly contested battle in midfield, with both sides searching for an early breakthrough. Crown Legacy controlled much of the possession throughout the first half, but the Core's defensive unit remained organized and disciplined. Goalkeeper Nick Holliday was called into action on several occasions, making key saves to keep the visitors off the scoreboard.
The breakthrough finally arrived in the 42nd minute. Ricardo Montenegro would find Arnaud Tattevin outside the penalty area, and the forward delivered a clinical finish to give the Foxes a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
In the 51st minute, David Diaz found Tattevin inside the box, burying his second goal to double the Core's advantage, wasting little time building on their momentum after the break.Â
Tattevin's brace sparked an energetic second-half performance for the Foxes, who continue to apply pressure while limiting Crown Legacy's opportunities. Â
The visitors' task became more difficult in the 75th minute, when Crown Legacy was issued a red card, leaving Carolina Core with a man-up advantage for the remainder of the match. This allowed the Core to create nice opportunities on the offensive end.
The Foxes nearly scored a 3rd goal in the closing stages. Tattevin threatened to complete his hat trick, Anthony Sumo Jr. created a dangerous opportunity off the bench, and Dominique Colon came close with a powerful strike from distance.Â
With a two-goal cushion and control of the match, Carolina Core confidently saw out the final minutes to secure the 2-0 victory over the Eastern Conference leaders.Â
The Foxes will look to replicate this performance as they head north to take on NYFC II on June 17th at 7 PM.
